What file formats do you accept?

To ensure the accuracy of your printed piece, it's best to upload your project as an Adobe PDF (Portable Document Format) file.  By nature, PDFs create print-ready files and provide a preview of your project that is as close to the final printed piece as possible.

If you don't have PDF conversion software, go to PDF Conversion for a link to a free converter tool. 

In most cases we also can work from the following file formats:

How do I choose an appropriate paper for my offset printing project?

Glossy Vs. Matte:  Glossy papers convey quality and sophistication, and they make photos “pop,” but their shine also can make text harder to read.  Matte papers project an “environmentally friendly” image, and their soft white appearance makes for good text legibility.

Light Vs. Heavy:  Lighter weight papers say “value” and are economical for mailing, while thicker papers typically are more opaque and more durable, making them a good choice for pieces that feature a lot of text or are intended to have a long shelf-life. What is aqueous coating?

Aqueous is a clear, fast-drying, water-based (environmentally friendly) coating that is used to protect printed pieces. It helps prevent fingerprinting and scuffs, and improves the durability of pieces that go through the mail or are subjected to other types of wear and tear.  In addition to protection, aqueous gives extra “pop” to color and imagery, and makes any piece look more impressive.

What resolution is right for my images?

Because offset printing is extremely precise, any images you include should be provided in a minimum of 300 dpi (dots per inch) at size (100%).  Images that are of a lower resolution are likely to be blurry or will appear "broken up." 

What is RGB? CMYK?

RGB refers to the colors red, green and blue, which computer monitors use to display images.  A four-color, offset printing press, however, prints images using a different set of colors: cyan (blue), magenta (red), yellow and black (CMYK).

Files created in RGB must be converted to CMYK before they can be printed on a four-color press.  (Follow the instructions provided by your design program.)  Keep in mind that files viewed in CMYK provide a more accurate representation of how your printed piece will look than what you can see in RGB mode.  

How can I reduce the file size of the artwork I want to upload?

We recommend that you compress file using WinZip for PCs and the Apple zip process or Stuffit for Macs.  This decreases the file size and the chances for file corruption.  

How well will my job match what I see on my monitor?

Because computer monitors vary, PDF proofs can be used to help display layout, text accuracy, and image placement and proportion, and to give a fairly accurate interpretation of color or density.  Although we make every effort to match colors and/or ink densities as shown on PDF proofs, we cannot guarantee exact matches between our offset printing proof and the PDF proof you print from your office or home printer. 

What should I look for when I get my proof?

When you retrieve the PDF proof we provide, please review it carefully.  This is your opportunity to check your layout and graphics, and your last chance to find typographical errors or misspelled words, and mistakes in grammar, punctuation and content.

 

Ordering Print Materials

How do I get a quote on a print product not listed on your website?

Visit our custom quotes and ordering page to get prices for any marketing or color printing project. 

How soon will I get my proof?

On the next business day following your upload (in most cases), we will email you with instructions for approving your PDF proof and sending your job to print.

How soon will I get my printing order?

Upon receipt of your approval, your job will be sent to press.  It will then be printed and shipped within the turnaround time you selected when you placed your order. 

Does turnaround time include shipping?

Turnaround time - as calculated by this site - begins when you approve your PDF proof and "send your job to press." Turnaround time does not include shipping time since that varies depending on the shipping option you choose.  Therefore, turnaround time is the number of days between your approval of a proof and the time your order is shipped. 

How do I order more than one printed piece?

You should place a separate order for each of your print projects.  By doing so, you are able to track each order separately, approve each proof as it becomes available and receive each piece as soon as it's ready.

 

Billing & Payment

What methods of payment do you accept?

Priced Right Print accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.   

Do you charge tax on my print order?

Orders shipped to a Michigan address will be subject to applicable sales taxes. This amount will be clearly identified in your order summary. 

When am I billed for my print order?

A valid credit card is required to place an order, however, your card will not be charged until you approve the PDF proof we provide. Once a file is approved and "sent to print," all applicable fees, including printing, shipping and handling, and taxes, where applicable, will be charged to your credit card.  The exact amounts for each will be provided to you beforehand.

 

Shipping and Handling

How much are shipping and handling charges?

Your order will be shipped UPS, with costs based on the specific product, quantity and service you choose. 

To figure your exact shipping costs:

  1. Go to the Instant Quote Calculator on our home page, choose your project specifications and and click on the "Print These for..." button.  This will take you to the "Shipping and Billing" page.
  2. Enter your zip code at the top of the page and select your shipping preference from the "Ship Method" drop downs. 
  3. Your shipping cost will appear in the "Order Amount" summary at the bottom of the page.

Changes, Cancellations & Refunds

What if I need to make a change after I’ve received my proof?

If you need to make changes to your artwork after receiving your proof, please resubmit your files. There will be a $10 resubmit fee charged to your account. If you wish to receive a new proof, a fee of $5 for the second PDF proof also will be charged.

  

What if I need to make a change after I’ve approved my proof?

Once you have approved your proof and sent your job to press, you can make no additional changes to your order

What if I want to cancel my print order?

Prior to proof approval, Priced Right Print allows customers to cancel orders. Contact customerservice@pricedrightprint.com.

Orders not approved or completed -- or cancelled -- within 30 days of uploading are subject to a minimum proofing fee of $20.  Once you have approved a proof, your job is "sent to press" and there can be no cancellations or changes to the artwork files, job specifications or printing turnaround time.

What is your return policy?

ALL SALES ARE FINAL.  In the unlikely event that you find what you believe to be a manufacturing error, please contact us within three days of the receipt of your order.  On a case-by-case basis, we will evaluate the work and determine if a discount, reprint or other resolution is appropriate.

Is your website secure for online payments?

Our site is protected by GeoTrust, one of the leading providers of e-commerce security.  This means that your information is transmitted using state-of-the-art Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which provides the highest level of encryption or security possible.  In addition, we reveal only the last five digits of your credit card numbers when confirming an order.

For your own safety, we urge you to protect against unauthorized access to your password and to your computer by signing sign off when you finish using a shared computer.
